Garrett Grindle is the Assistant Director for Engineering for the VA Center on Wheelchairs and Associated Rehabilitation at the Human Engineering Research Laboratories. He received his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007 and 2004, respectively. He received a Ph.D. degree from University of Pittsburgh in Rehabilitation Science in 2017. Dr. Grindle has been a part of Human Engineering Research laboratories for over 15 years and is responsible for design and fabrication. Through his position coordinating HERL’ fabrication staff and facilities, he has extensive expertise in the manufacture of investigational prototypes.
